There are many reasons that so many people are choosing Belize as their retirement destination. Besides the sheer beauty of Belize, with its mountains and jungles and breathtakingly beautiful beaches, besides the friendliness of the Belize citizens, besides the shops, and the hospitals, and the superb health care for unbelievable prices, besides the pyramids and the volcanoes and the Mayan ruins, and the rivers and waterfalls and the rain forests and the hiking and swimming and diving and exploring, and the caves, and the fishing, and the coral reefs. . . .besides these things, Belize has so much more!

You can own property in Belize with almost no qualifications! Titles are fee simple and the closing costs are very low. Hidden fees? Not in Belize. The cost of living in Belize is low, and most attractive to retirees. The government of Belize is stable, and the economy is growing at an amazing pace. The Belizean government offers many incentives for retirees besides these, too.

BELIZE IS A TAX SHELTER HAVEN! Belize has no inheritance tax, no capital gains, and very, VERY low property taxes. Retirees in Belize can easily afford a maid or two, and you’ll need at least one to help you cope with the dust in Belize. Unless you are hopelessly finicky and must import a lot of American food, your grocery bills will be low, too.
