The Price of Ice Cream In Panama
By Jane Goodwin | May 29, 2007
Wherever we live, we have to buy groceries. In Panama, the prices aren’t too bad!
A liter of 2% milk is about 60 cents, and cheddar cheese is $2.72 for a pound. Cottage cheese is 2.35 for a 12-ounce container, and 220 grams of sour cream will cost less than a dollar.
Eggs are approximately $1.70 for a dozen, while a stick of butter will run about 75 cents.
Ice cream can be a bit expensive in any tropical country, and in Panama a half gallon will cost about five dollars. If you want a liter of Coca Cola with your ice cream, it will cost you about two dollars more.
While we’re eating ice cream and drinking Coke, we might as well crack open a package of Oreo cookies, at under $2.00. If you must have your coffee even in this climate, it will cost around 4.00 for a 12-ounce can of regular coffee, while the same size can of decaf will cost an extra dollar.
More prices tomorrow!
