Prices, Beauty, and Healthcare Are Superior In Panama

By Jane Goodwin | October 23, 2007

When you look at a list of the World’s Best Retirement Destinations for Americans, Panama is on that list, rated in the top five. There are many good reasons for that.

One of them is the excellent health care in Panama. Hospitals, both public and private, are equal to and in some cases excel over hospitals in the States, and most of the doctors and nurses were trained in the States. The main difference is not in the quality of care, although most people say that Panamanian hospitals have superior recovery care, far above the care people generally get in an American hospital. The main difference is the cost.

Add to this the incredible beauty of the the country and you’ve got an unbeatable deal.

Oh, and you know how in most cases, people are advised not to drink the water when they travel or relocate? In most parts of Panama, especially in the cities, tap water is completely drinkable and safe. It’s always best to stick with bottled water, however, no matter where you are, if you’re not sure.

In Panama, everybody speaks English, and you can use your American money.

There are many other advantages to relocating to Panama, of course, and we’ll be discussing them at a later time.

In the meantime, be thinking of Panama: the beauty and the prices and the superior health care.
