PGA Tour Coming To Dominican Republic

By Jane Goodwin | June 1, 2007

If you are a golfer, chances are that you already know about  the three fabulous Jack Nicklaus golf courses in the Dominican Republic.  If not, you soon will.

Expats in the Dominican Republic are usually avid golfers, and this November, golfers from all over the world will be gathering in Cap Cana at the Punta Espada Golf Course, one of three signature courses Jack Nicklaus has designed.  Punta Espada is known for its signature hole, the 250-yard No. 13, which forces golfers to hit the tee shot over the ocean onto a green surrounded by the Caribbean Sea.  It’s not the easiest shot to make, as you can imagine.

The Cap Cana tournament will be played March 31-April 6, 2008.

The complete 2008 Champions Tour schedule will be announced on June 25.  Stay tuned right here for details!
