Dominican Republic To Host Caribbean Amateur Golf Championship

The Dominican Republic is fast becoming famous for its incredible golf courses, designed by some of the top names in the business. Tournaments are becoming quite common, and people come from all over the world to watch and to compete.
Well, the Dominican Republic is hosting the 51st Caribbean Amateur Golf Championship (CGA) 2007, from August 6 to August 11, at the Santo Domingo Country Club.
The CGA announced last Tuesday night that 140 players, representing 10 Caribbean nations, will be competing.
The two main championships of this tournament, the Hoerman Cup, and the Ramon Baez Trophy, are up to defend, and the Dominican Republic is not only hosting, they’re competing for these two prizes!
American and Canadian retirees, as well as expats from all over the world, will be at the tournament. It’s going to be fantastic!
