By Jane Goodwin | May 28, 2007

According to CheapFlights.com., it’s easier than ever before to get down to Costa Rica!

“Low-cost operator Frontier Airlines has confirmed federal approval for its proposed connection between Denver, Colorado, and San Jose in Costa Rica.

With final approval from the US Department of Transportation, the new route will launch on November 30. Flights are on sale now. Round-trips are available for the introductory rate of $298 - for travel through June 16, 2008 - provided you book by 9:59pm (MDT) on June 26.

Costa Rica will become the third country outside the US to be served by Denver-based Frontier, and San Jose the 11th city it serves outside the States. The low-fare airline currently flies to eight cities in Mexico, and two in Canada.

“Travelers’ response to Frontier’s international service has been tremendous, and we’re thrilled to offer direct flights between Denver and Costa Rica, our third country served from the United States,” said John Happ, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Planning at Frontier.

“Passengers now have a convenient, comfortable way to enjoy Costa Rica’s culture, visit the country’s amazing beaches, resorts, and rain forests, and experience some of the best eco-tourism in the world.”

Flights to San Jose will operate each Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday.”

Whether you are going to Costa Rica as a tourist, or as a potential expat, this deal from Frontier just can’t be beaten. And the price is right, too.
