Costa Rican Electricity Is Just Like Ours

By Jane Goodwin | July 3, 2007

Often, when someone relocates to another country, he or she must purchase all new electrical gadgets. Not so, in Costa Rica.

Costa Rica has the same electricity we have. Your hair dryer will work, your mp3 player recharger will still work, your dvd player will still work, and your laptop computer will still work.

Getting the internet can be a bit of a challenge sometimes, but it can be done. Until you get your hookup, you can always find a cybercafe or hotel lobby.

You don’t even have to buy an electrical adapter. Hey, if you go to Italy or France, you have to buy one!

In Costa Rica, though, your hair, your musical sensibilities, and your computer files are all easily accessible. Just plug them in.

Not all at once! You don’t want to blow a fuse!

Gently. That’s right. Now get your hair dry, crank up your music and go have dinner while you check your email.
